We Like Spike...

Rebecca has been interested in horses for as long as I can remember...She had Barbie horses, Little People Barn & horses, etc...She kept asking me if she could ride a horse and take lessons & I remember saying "Maybe when you're older like seven years old..."

Well, Becky turned seven this past August & reminded me of what I had said to her a few years ago about riding lessons...Dan & I talked to her about taking lessons and that if she chose to take them that she may not be able to do a lot of other activities because of the costs involved, etc...She chose riding lessons...She has been going every other week for the past few months & absolutely LOVES it! As I was taking her to her lesson yesterday (in the rain & Jake woke up from his nap when we got there) I said to her "I hope you really appreciate me taking you to these lessons!" She replied, "Yes, I do Mom, it's the best thing in my WHOLE life!"

Yesterday she continued to practice trotting & posting & she even practiced posting without holding on for a few seconds...Her instructor told me that she is doing very well with her riding...I thought I'd post a picture of Becky & "Spike" for you all to see!
